In one blink is exactly enough time to say “Jesus.”
Try it, blinking ten times. “Jesus . . . , Jesus . . . , Jesus . . . , Jesus . . . . “
In one inhale of breath is exactly enough time to say “Jesus” in your head.
In one exhale is exactly enough time to say “Jesus” out loud.
Try it now. :o)
In one step with your foot is enough time to say “Jesus.”
Try it, taking ten steps.
God is the Creator of perfect rhythm, even in our body parts, speaking the name of Jesus, “the name above all names,” the name of love, grace, mercy, salvation, redemption, power, protection, provision, purpose . . .
Think how transforming your days would become if you purposed to say the name of Jesus throughout the day to your body’s natural rhythm.
You can do this blinking or breathing “Jesus” exercise instead of counting to ten, for example. You can do the “Jesus” exercise of heart and mind while meditating in worship, walking the dog, walking through the store, and in anxious circumstances: about to step on stage or into a meeting . . . .
Blink, breath, and step “Jesus!”
